Welcome! It’s July, it’s hot, it’s weird. So far I’ve spent most of the month getting ready for the art director coming in to my class, which happened last Wednesday. It went well, I was told things like my work has “renaissance vibes”, “muscular substance to figures and shapes”, and that my illustrations look Ike they came out of really old book,in a good way. So I can’t really complain….But. During the class I felt like the art director was kind of board with my work. Usually I would have just sat and felt bad. This time (after the director left the class) I mentioned my “observation”. The class kinda erupted in a chorus of “what?” and things were put back into a more realistic light. Also because of that another classmate said they felt something similar, and I was one of the “what?”crowd, because I heard the crit and it was positive. Again, because I heard the crit…not the noise in my head about it. So much of the time what we hear is being colored by brain bullcrap. I’m glad I actually said something so that others could check my “reality” and so that my classmate felt like they could say something and have their reality checked as well. So here is the final…. Outside of that I’m still working on the “Bread and Butterfly” painting and I am ramping up production for the October Moonlight Market ( October 3rd, at Long Island Sports Hub). If there is anything you would like to see at the Market drop me an email and I’ll see what I can do. Andrea |

We are still here, that’s a good thing. My personal life has been a bit of a mine field lately but the important stuff is mostly stable. I really like stable. I’d be willing to indulge boring, as I think many would these days. Still working on stock for the October Moonlight Market (Oct. 3rd at Long Island Sports Hub), and also decided to join the Long Island Museum’s Pages and Pictures, their annual book and art sale (September 19th). I won’t be there personally unless things open up but I...
Hello, as is pretty obvious now, we couldn’t make the June Moonlight Market. Schedules, sickness, injuries, and the Cosmic Owl all kinda said “no”. However this has given me some more time for painting, some new patterns, and since I have the newsletter, I thought I’d ask if there is anything you would like to see at the table for the October Market. Let me know. New Pattern The “Croquet Game” is coming along but I have to put the afterburners on. Every semester smART school has a special...
Hi, you’re back and I’m still here! Yay! No big changes this month. Stock is being made for the Moonlight Market on June 6th, at the Long Island Sports Hub. Getting some tatted items done in addition to a new bobbin lace pattern (along with untangling some unruly bobbins). I realized that because I hadn’t re-upped my business cards from the Expo, I was still out of business cards. So I made some new ones, with some new art and the new QR code on the back. Playing shipping roulette as they are...
